Over the past 5 years, I have helped schools, budding entrepreneurs, retailers, influencers, and many more succeed online with robust web solutions.
From e-commerce sites that process $10,000+ in yearly transactions to informational sites with complex marketing funnels and automations I have experience building several different types of websites and web applications.
Outside of work I enjoy playing guitar, reading, video games, cooking, working on cars, and travelling. I've recently returned from traveling around Costa Rica, Mexico, Australia, and New York City!
Projects
GolfCartSpares - E-Commerce Website
GolfCartSpares is an e-commerce website that sells parts and accessories for golf carts. It is part of CartBarn, a golf cart retailer in Reno, NV.
What I did:
- Migrated the database of products, customers, and orders from BigCommerce to WordPress using the Woocommerce plugin
- Connected the WordPress database to a separate order management system application called THUB
- Implemented shipping and tax plugins to calculate shipping rates and taxes for customers at checkout
- Built out the front end of the website: product pages, customer checkout pages, shop pages, and more using a WordPress page builder
- Migrated the website to a new server upon completion
ASP .NET Core Database Application
This is a database application that features a database with CRUD operations that can be performed on the front-end of the website.
What I did:
- Set up an MVC project in Visual and installed and configured necessary NuGet packages
- Used the Visual Studio package manager to create a database migration
- Created the Model and Controllers using C#
- Created the Views using Razor Pages and connected front-end to back-end using Razor
- Wrote functions to enable paging and sorting
High Desert Montessori School
This is a large informational website built for HDMS, a montessori school in Reno NV.
What I did:
- Completely rebuilt the website using WordPress on a staging domain
- Worked with designers to build out inside pages
- Met with school leaders to determine key features
- Taught school personnel how to use and edit the website on their own
React Map App
This is a map application built with React JS that shows you nearby restaurants based on a location in Google Maps
What I did:
- Configured a local Node JS environment with React
- Built several React components including buttons and display cards
- Connected Google Maps API
ASPFit
This is an e-commerce site built for fitness influencer Austin Espy. It includes a marketing funnel, complex forms, and automations
What I did:
- Implemented a Woocommerce subscriptions plugin to allow customers to pay monthly for products
- Designed a caloric intake form that uses a formula to calculate how many calories someone should be eating
- Implemented an automated onboarding form system that emails submissions to the trainer
- Met with the client to determine necessary features
